Data We Collect

User-Provided Data

Guest Name: When you play, you enter a guest name. This name is visible to other players during asynchronous multiplayer matches.

Automatically Collected Data

Platform User ID: Depending on which platform you play on, we collect your Steam User ID or itch.io User ID to link your gameplay data and provide platform integration.

Anonymous Client ID: We generate a random identifier stored locally on your device to link your sessions for analytics purposes. This ID is not connected to your identity unless you authenticate with a platform account.

Device Information: We collect basic device information including operating system, screen resolution, and game version to help diagnose issues and improve compatibility.

Gameplay Data

While playing the Game, we collect and store gameplay data to provide the Game experience and improve it. This includes:

  • Match results and game outcomes
  • Teams and builds you create during runs
  • Actions taken during gameplay
  • Session length and play time

This gameplay data is used for analytics and playtesting purposes and is not publicly visible to other players, except for your guest name which appears to opponents in asynchronous matches.

How We Use Your Data

We process your data to:

  • Provide the Game to you, including multiplayer features
  • Identify and fix bugs and errors
  • Analyse gameplay for balancing and design decisions
  • Improve the Game based on how players interact with it

Data Retention

Gameplay data collected during the playtest period will be retained for analysis and debugging purposes. As this is a demo/playtest without persistent accounts, data is associated with your guest session rather than a permanent account.

Analytics data used solely for debugging and game improvement will be retained for no more than 12 months.

The Game uses third-party services that may collect data:

Railway: We use Railway for hosting our backend services. See their privacy policy.

Steam (Steam version only): The Steam version integrates with Steam's API for authentication. See Valve's privacy policy.

itch.io (itch.io version only): The itch.io version integrates with itch.io's API for authentication. See itch.io's privacy policy.

Analytics: We use our own first-party analytics system to collect crash reports, error logs, and usage statistics. This data is processed on our own servers and is not shared with third-party analytics providers.

We use encryption for data transmission and store data with access controls. However, no internet-based transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
